Un Filo Teso Tra Lagos E Venezia
Come vede il mondo occidentale chi appartiene a una cultura diversa o lontana rispetto alla realtà europea o italiana? Emmanuel Iduma insegna alla School of Visual Arts di New York e conosce bene Venezia: ha curato il padiglione nigeriano alla Biennale Arte del 2017 e ha recentemente letto attraverso il suo sguardo di scrittore e intellettuale di origine africana calli, campielli e canali, utilizzando immagini e narrazione in La forma della luce. Riflessioni sulla fotografia. Maaza Mengiste, invece, ha a lungo riflettuto sulle conseguenze dell'occupazione italiana in Etiopia (Il re ombra) e ritiene che "nel modo in cui pensiamo ad un viaggio, o ci mettiamo in cammino, gioca un ruolo importante il luogo in cui viviamo". Di punti di vista inediti che "fanno scoprire il conforto dell'incontro con l'altro" i due ospiti parleranno con il giornalista Mohamed Maalel.
