This session will provide insights into the mission of the Media Lab Bayern, why it actively engages in peace journalism in conflict areas, how it collaborates with partners such as dtec.bw and the University of the German Federal Armed Forces in Munich, and why projects like the Design Fiction format "whatif" are considered crucial for promoting media innovation and peace. The discussion will include concrete examples and the challenges that arose from the project idea to the implementation of the platform.
Lina Timm, head of the Media Lab Bayern, will be interviewed by Sabrina Harper, host of the podcast Media for Peace.

Deve il suo nome ai Priori, la massima autorità politica al governo della città in epoca medievale.
Sabrina Harper
Sabrina Harper is a communications expert and the host of the Media for Peace podcast, where she discusses peace-promoting journalism with international guests. Additionally, she also moderates the German-language podcast Innovation Minutes from the Media Lab Bayern, addressing crucial topics for the long-term viability of German media outlets.
Lina Timm
Lina Timm is the founder and CEO of Media Lab Bayern, an incubator for new ideas in digital journalism. The Media Lab Bayern supports talents and teams in founding media startups with mentoring programs and financial support. Previous to this, Lina wrote for outlets like Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung or ZEIT and worked as a video journalist for formats that screened on ARTE or Prosieben. She studied German studies, media sciences and sociology in Hamburg and attended the German School of Journalism in Munich.
