Ankur Paliwal is an award-winning queer journalist, and founder of queerbeat—a collaborative journalism project deeply and accurately covering LGBTQIA+ persons in India. In the last twelve years of his journalism career, Ankur has written narrative and investigative stories about LGBTQIA+ community, science and inequity from India, Ethiopia, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya and the United States for several international media organisations including Rest Of World, and the Guardian Long Read. He was also a 2021 fellow at the Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program at The City University of New York. He lives in India.
