È professore di “Human Cognitive Neuroscience” presso l’Università di Edimburgo, in Gran Bretagna. Ha pubblicato oltre 500 lavori peer-reviewed, è editor della rivista Cortex, ed è stato presidente del CICAP. Tra i suoi libri: Miti della mente (Monduzzi, 2006) e Mai fidarsi della mente (Laterza, 2011 - con Michaela Dewar).
