Josef El Mahdi is News Commissioner at Swedish Radio, Sweden’s national public broadcaster, where he works on news development.
Previously, Josef was Head of Editorial Development at Swedish Radio and has a background as a senior news editor at the broadcaster’s national newsroom, Ekot. Prior to joining Ekot, he served as Head of the Foreign Desk at the Swedish news agency TT and has also worked as news editor and reporter at Stockholm-based daily Svenska Dagbladet. Josef is passionate about emerging news formats and innovative storytelling.
