Jacinta Muteshi-Strachan (Ph.D) is renowned globally as an expert in gender equality, women’s rights, reproductive health, and constitutional processes, with experience as a researcher, programme director and advisor. She is currently Team Leader for the The Girl Generation: Support to the Africa-led Movement to End FGM programme. Jacinta has led large, international, multi-year research, evaluation, and advocacy programmes. She received her Ph.D. in education from the University of Toronto. In 2013, she was recognised with ‘The Order of the Grand Warrior’ by the President of Kenya for her impactful contributions to women’s and human rights.
