Alinda Vermeer is the director of Limelight Foundation, an Amsterdam-based foundation focused on strengthening the information ecosystem. Limelight Foundation supports public interest journalism across Europe and civil society organisations that work to ensure technology strengthens rather than harms the information ecosystem.
Before joining Limelight Foundation in 2023, Alinda was CEO of Media Defence, a London-based international NGO that provides legal defence to journalists around the world. Alinda is a qualified lawyer and has experience representing journalists at international and regional human rights forums.
