Lo studio dell'Universo si basa sull'osservazione di innumerevoli fenomeni, e nei secoli la luce è stata sempre la prima protagonista. Oggi ci approcciamo a queste ricerche attraverso tutti i canali possibili, tra cui i neutrini, particelle molto elusive ma anche capaci di attraversare enormi distanze e spessori di materia, portando informazioni sulla sorgente in cui sono stati prodotti. KM3NeT è un grande "telescopio" sottomarino che si trova a grande profondità nel Mar Mediterrano: l'obiettivo del progetto è studiare le sorgenti astrofisiche più estreme e ottenere nuove informazioni sulla natura del neutrino stesso e degli "acceleratori spaziali" in cui nascono.
