Correva l'anno 1834, e Napoli si riempì di anacreontiche composte "per solo uso de' giovanetti" il cui l'autore discettava delle più disparate discipline e passioni umane. La più spietata delle parodie era però in agguato e infatti si palesò, dando immensa e indesiderata celebrità all'oscuro magistrato borbonico Ferdinando Ingarrica. Le strofette che ancora portano il suo nome – ci ricorda il curatore del volume Poesia demenziale da Ferdinando Ingarrica a oggi – divennero uno dei più sgangherati e imitati modelli poetici delle Patrie lettere e furono praticate assiduamente da mostri sacri come Ettore Petrolini, Antonio Gramsci, Curzio Malaparte, Umberto Eco e altri ancora.
