Le emozioni giocano infatti un ruolo cruciale nella sfera politica, che Eva Illouz indaga a partire da Israele, paradigma dello stile nazionalista e populista che si è esteso a livello globale negli ultimi decenni. Solo un nuovo orientamento emotivo, fondato sul sentimento della fraternità, potrà allora contrastare l’estrema destra al potere e preservare quello che resta dell’unica democrazia del Medio Oriente.
