Uno dei tratti distintivi del tessuto urbano rispetto alla campagna è l’eterogeneità dei suoi abitanti, inclusa la capacità di accogliere, ospitare e a volte integrare una discreta quota di individui “diversi”, che si tratti di forestieri o di cittadini appartenenti a gruppi etnico-religiosi minoritari.
