Nel 1934 Niquist parlò di "trasmissione dell'intelligenza". Nel 1948 Shannon inventò la teoria dell'informazione. Nel 1950 Turing chiedeva quando le macchine avrebbero pensato. E oggi sembrano farlo. In realtà, correlano dati e producono risposte a domande di utenti umani o artificiali. Con quali categorie dobbiamo avvicinarci oggi ai Large Language Models, detti AI? Che differenza c'è tra correlazione e causalità, intelligenza e informazione, tra uomo e macchina? Con adeguate categorie possiamo interagire con la tecnologia e farne una risorsa per il bene di tutti, per elaborarle occorre una prospettiva storico- filosofica.
