Cos’è un amore impossibile se non un continuo andirivieni nelle pieghe dell’ignoto? Partendo dal suo ultimo lavoro, Il libro dell’amore impossibile, Giuseppe Culicchia si insinua nei meandri del tema del Festival confermando il suo talento di scrittore contemporaneo capace di infrangere le barriere tra i generi e trasformare la storia in letteratura.
Questo nuovo lavoro è la versione barocca e partenopea della vicenda di Abelardo ed Eloisa, un meraviglioso omaggio a Napoli, una riflessione sulla fede, sul passato che ritorna, e sul destino che rende ogni amore un amore impossibile.
Giuseppe Culicchia è nato a Torino nel 1965. Autore prolifico e stimato, considerato tra i più importanti della sua generazione, ha vinto con l’esordio Tutti giù per terra (1995) il Premio Grinzane Cavour Esordienti. Tra gli altri suoi libri, Torino è casa mia (2005), Brucia la città (2009), Il cuore e la tenebra (2019), Il tempo di vivere con te (2021), La bambina che non doveva piangere (2023).
Ha tradotto grandi scrittori della letteratura americana quali Mark Twain, Francis Scott Fitzgerald e Bret Easton Ellis.
