Dal 2000 La Scuola di Cinema e Fotografia Pigrecoemme è un punto di riferimento nella formazione dell'audiovisivo. Da ogni regione italiana, anche il Piemonte, e dall'estero, giovani aspiranti filmmaker hanno studiato e si sono misurati col mondo del lavoro. Tra gli ex allievi celebri ricordiamo il regista Giovanni Dota, lo sceneggiatore e scrittore Massimiliano Virgilio, gli attori Michele Rosiello ed Elvis Esposito, il montatore Vincenzo Soprano. Nel 2025 hanno tenuto corsi Margherita Ferri, regista di Il ragazzo dai pantaloni rosa e Davide Serino, sceneggiatore di M - Il figlio del secolo. Pigrecoemme ha anche un podcast, Decisione Critica, cui partecipa il gotha della Critica cinematografica italiana.
