Andrea Federici Alzheimer, Il mondo interdetto
Il morbo di Alzheimer causa il progressivo deterioramento della psiche. Nella mente degli ammalati, tutto sembra lentamente scomparire: parole e immagini diventano sconnesse e illeggibili. In queste persone resta, tuttavia, una scintilla, che si attiva tramite l’amore e pare connettersi con la loro anima e con quella di chi li circonda.
Le opere di Andrea Federici rappresentano questa progressiva perdita delle parole e dei ricordi dovuta alla malattia, offrendo però spiragli di speranza grazie alla raffigurazione dell’amore verso un riflesso d’anima. Quel riflesso sincero e più pulsionale, che l’artista rappresenta in forma di animale e che resta vivo nella persona, sebbene via via più assente, costituendone la vera essenza. La stessa essenza a cui è legata la sezione onirica di questa mostra. Nel sogno, dove reale e razionale perdono significato, al malato viene donata la possibilità di ritrovare una dimensione in cui può essere ancora pienamente se stesso.
