Ai Qing: poeta cinese del ‘900
Vi sono stati scrittori che hanno incarnato il tragitto di una società e un popolo lungo un’intera epoca storica: Ai Qing è senza dubbio tra questi. Il percorso del grande poeta, nato nel 1910 e morto nel 1996, esprime infatti appieno la traiettoria della letteratura cinese in tutto il Novecento, il suo intreccio con la lotta rivoluzionaria e il rapporto burrascoso con la politica e i regimi che si susseguirono nella prima metà del secolo. Proprio questo incrocio tra politica e letteratura, che a noi lettori italiani, abituati a una netta separazione tra le due, potrebbe apparire singolare, pur non essendolo affatto, soprattutto in Cina, fa sì che la produzione poetica di Ai Qing travalichi la dimensione letteraria e riesca a farsi espressione netta della turbolenta storia cinese nel corso del XX secolo, con tutte le sue svolte e contraddizioni.
