Cinquant’anni fa il referendum sul divorzio segnò una tappa importante nel processo di costruzione dei diritti civili nel nostro Paese. Venne respinta la proposta di abrogare la legge del 1970 che introduceva il divorzio in Italia, e che portava la firma del socialista friulano Loris Fortuna e del liberale Antonio Baslini. L’anniversario è l’occasione per una duplice riflessione. Sul piano storico, va riconsiderato un decennio sbrigativamente definito come “anni di piombo”; su quello sociale e giuridico è l’occasione per riflettere su come in questi decenni siano cambiati il matrimonio, la separazione e il divorzio e come oggi, in un’Italia profondamente diversa da quella del 1974, le persone uniscono le proprie vite, o possono decidere di dividerle.
